There are plenty of sporty features on the 2017 Subaru WRX, which is due to arrive in dealerships sometime this month. The WRX, which was just introduced for the first time in 2015 as a 2016 model, has seen a surprising number of updates for its second year.
The new WRX will have the same available Sport Lineartronic continuously variable transmission that will now be equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist features. This transmission option also enables SI-DRIVE, which allows for more responsive handling, and the Sport and Sport Sharp modes improve the performance of the manual transmission. Vehicle Dynamics Control and Active Torque Vectoring make turning corners more precise.
It will also come with standard 18-inch summer performance tires on two of its trim levels and an available rear trunk spoiler. The design of the front seats gets an update as well, making them sportier and more cockpit-like, with red stitching on leather trim, and the exterior will include standard LED headlights.
