The Subaru Viziv-7 concept debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, marking the first time Subaru has considered adding a large SUV to its lineup since the discontinuation of the Tribeca years ago. The Viziv-7 is an SUV with seating for 7 passengers and is larger than the Chevy Tahoe, one of the biggest in the segment.
The Viziv-7 is 205 inches long from bumper to bumper and 72 inches tall, allowing for tons of cargo space in addition to exceptional comfort for passengers. Not much is known yet about the SUV concept besides cosmetic details, but we do know that it will be the largest Subaru ever.
Subaru has a new concept of car development with the goal of “enjoyment and peace of mind,” which it’s implementing with the design of the Viziv-7. Subaru is an outdoors-oriented brand that prioritizes dependability and safety, and the Viziv-7 speaks to those values as well as answering customer desire for a full-size SUV.
The Viziv-7 reflects the direction of future Subaru vehicles, including a transition to larger vehicles that can also be seen in the 2017 Impreza, which has been redesigned to be longer and wider than previous model years. The name “Viziv” is derived from “Vision for Innovation.”
